If you’re one of the many people who are struggling with opening a locker, this article is for you.
We’ll show you how to open a locker in four easy steps.
This step-by-step guide will teach you what to do if your lockers has not number combination or keypad, but rat her just an old mechanical lock that needs manual turning.
Let’s get started!
First, you need to know if your locker has a number combination or not. You can do this by checking either side of your locker for buttons – if it does, skip to step three. If not, continue with this step.
Second, identify the lock cylinder on your locker – usually right in the middle of one side. (If you’re having trouble finding it, check if there’s a small hole near it.) Now push down on the end of the metal bar that’s attached to the handle. If you hear a click, your locker won’t work by simply pushing the buttons on either side of it – skip to step four.
Third, If you don’t hear a click, then there’s no need to worry! Though this means the buttons will not disengage the latch mechanism on its own, it does mean that you can do it yourself.
Fourth, All you have to do is get a piece of strong, thin material (such as paper, foil, plastic or even metal) and slip it into the small space between your locker door and its body. With one hand, pull up on the paper/foil so that it disengages the latch mechanism while with another hand push down on one of the buttons on either side of your locker. After this, simply open your locker!
And voila – there you have it!
